Recently, a new internet buzzword has emerged in China: "Beauty Duty" (服美役). It refers to the phenomenon where people spend considerable money and time and even harm themselves to conform to society's perceived aesthetic standards. There has been intense online discussion about this trend, and I believe that beauty is not anyone's obligation. There is no need to invest additional resources in pursuing these so-called beauty standards. To address this, I created a three-dimensional animation exploring the meaning of this internet slang and expressing my own perspective.
